Welcome Reception (July 20)

The Welcome Reception will be held in the beautiful Salão Nobre at ISEG on Monday July 20, at 7:00 PM. The event will have a duration of approximately 1h30. We cordially invite everyone to join us for our first social event of the Conference.

Conference Tour (July 21)

The Conference Tour will be held on Tuesday July 21, at 5:15 PM. Departure will be from ISEG. The duration is approximately 1h30, and the physical level is considered low. The Tour is scheduled to conclude near the Conference Dinner restaurant. We warmly invite all participants to join us for a late afternoon of discovery.
Short description of the Tour: Along Lisbon’s riverside this Tour will showcase many layers of this city with a long history. From hotels to houses we will uncover an ancient world under our feet, as there are countless traces that have been revealed during new constructions. Real estate development has also led to a greater understanding of the past that hides behind modern walls.
Responsible for the Tour: Patrícia Brum is currently an archaeologist at the Museum of Lisbon – Roman Theatre. She worked in other sites in Lisbon, such as the Archaeological Centre of Rua dos Correeiros and at the Museum of Science of the University of Lisbon. From 2008 to 2021, she was part of the archaeology team at TROIA RESORT, a private company responsible for the Enhancement Project of the Roman Ruins of Tróia, where she developed her interest not only in the scientific investigation of this site, but also in its social impact on communities.

Conference Dinner (July 21)

The Conference Dinner will be held at the inviting Monte Mar Lisboa on Tuesday July 21, at 7:30 PM, following the Conference Tour. Located right on the riverfront, this venue offers a unique setting for our event, and we truly look forward to spending the evening with you!

Venue: Monte Mar Lisboa Address: Rua da Cintura do Porto de Lisboa, Armazém 65, Cais do Sodré.

From the Conference Tour: The Tour will end near the Conference Dinner restaurant.

From ISEG (if you are not joining the Tour):
On Foot: A pleasant 20-minute walk down towards the riverfront and Cais do Sodré.
By Bus: Take Bus 706 (direction Cais do Sodré) at the Av. D. Carlos I stop, right in front of ISEG. Get off at Cais do Sodré. The restaurant is a 5-minute walk from there, heading East along the river.

Lunches & Coffee Breaks

Last but not least, our Lunches will be held in the Salão Nobre at ISEG, while the Coffee Breaks will take place in the Cloisters of ISEG. We hope these moments provide a relaxing atmosphere for networking and discussion.
